I left the retail beauty industry 4 years ago when my sales manager said exactly these words:

"You can't sell anymore - you know too much."

I couldn't believe it was possible to know too much about your work or your products, but she was right. I couldn't push a product just because there was extra commission that month. I couldn't hop on the bandwagon for the latest launch if it was a terrible product - just because my company told me to.

So I started writing full time, instead of part time, about the beauty industry and finding the products that work best for what you specifically need.

What I miss most about working the retail beauty world was the customers - my clients. The ones who would ask me the questions that made me really work for the answers. I loved solving problems for my clients and now now I can answer your questions here on Gather.
